Inspiring Zouk
Zouk Life Iceland opened in April 2023, and since then, hundreds of students have learned Zouk in Iceland. Celina introduced Zouk to people with diverse dance experiences, including dancers from salsa, bachata, kizomba, tango, swing dances, and ballroom. By bridging these styles, they’ve shown how Zouk’s smooth connection and creative movement can complement and enhance a dancer’s existing skills. Their mission is to grow a top-notch Zouk community through engaging classes, fun social events, and workshops tailored for all dance levels from beginners to advanced.
Celina
Celina has been dancing Brazilian Zouk and Lambada since 2018 and began teaching in Iceland in April 2023. As a key figure in the Icelandic Zouk community, she organizes regular Zouk classes in Reykjavik, social dance events, workshops, private lessons, and even trips to international Zouk festivals. Celina also collaborates with international artists to host unique dance experiences in Iceland.
She is trained in the BRIC methodology and is currently expanding her expertise with the MAC methodology.
Celina is Filipino-Canadian, and has been living in Iceland since June 2022. She also works full-time as the Head of Marketing at Lucinity. When she’s not dancing Zouk, you can find her spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, rock climbing, traveling, and organizing events.
